Privacy and your data

In this release

  • Your intake answers stay in your own browser, in session storage. They are cleared when you close the tab, and you can clear them at any time from the results page.
  • No account, email address, or password is required to search and view results.
  • Your answers are never placed in a web address, an analytics tool, a crash report, or a routine log.
  • Searching ClinicalTrials.gov happens on our server, so your browser does not reveal your search to a third party. Only the cancer type and, if you provide one, a ZIP-derived location are used for the lookup.
  • A ZIP code you enter is converted to an approximate location to measure distance, and is not retained afterwards.

This is a factual description of the current release, not a promise about a future one. When saved results and email follow-up are added, this page will change before the feature ships, and the consent version and date will be recorded with your record.

Principles we hold to

  • Store only what matching, follow-up, and approved evaluation actually require.
  • Keep email identity separate from the clinical profile using a coded identifier.
  • Encrypt data in transit and at rest.
  • Never send sensitive clinical or identity details through ordinary email.
  • Set clear retention and deletion periods, and honor download, correction, and deletion.
  • Record the consent version and date for every permission you give.
  • Use role-based access for staff, with an audit history for clinical decisions.
  • Use synthetic patient records for development and testing.
  • Never call a search anonymous when an email address or medical profile is stored. Public claims must match actual practice.

Identity information

Sexual orientation is never used as a medical eligibility filter unless a protocol explicitly studies a defined population. Identity answers shape how information is presented to you and what inclusion evidence is surfaced. Anatomy, laboratory findings, treatments, and protocol rules drive medical matching.
