Transparency and independence
No trial, sponsor, drug company, or research site receives preferred placement because of funding. Ever.
What determines the order of your results
- How the trial's stated criteria compare with what you told us.
- Whether a criterion is unresolved rather than in conflict.
- Distance from your ZIP code to the nearest research site.
- The travel and participation preferences you entered.
Sponsor identity, funding, and any relationship with our organizations are excluded from the ranking function by design. The ranking code is a single, reviewable function that takes no sponsor input at all.
Current financial relationships
This page lists every financial relationship that could touch the service. It is updated whenever a relationship begins or ends.
No sponsor, drug company, or research site currently funds this service. The service is operated by the National LGBT Cancer Project with Malecare and Cancer Academy. If that changes, the relationship, the amount, and the date will appear here before it can affect anything patients see.
What we will not do
- Accept payment for placement, ranking, or inclusion in results.
- Hide a medically relevant trial because we lack LGBTQ evidence about it.
- Present a site as affirming based on a single patient report.
- Treat silence in a trial record as evidence of inclusion.
- Describe a search as anonymous when identifying information is stored.
Corrections
Every trial result carries a correction button. Reports go to a human reviewer, and corrections to inclusion classifications are recorded with a date and a reviewer.
